RESERVOIR EXTENDS DEAL WITH MULTI-PLATINUM, GRAMMY-NOMINATED SONGWRITER ALI TAMPOSI
Date:
Reservoir announces a new deal with multi-Platinum and Grammy-nominated songwriter Ali Tamposi. The company has represented Tamposi since January of this year and will continue to publish Tamposi’s hit-driven catalog, including her latest smash collaboration “Wolves” performed by Selena Gomez and Marshmello, which debuted #1 on the US iTunes Charts and Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Songs Chart and was the fourth most streamed song in the world on Spotify upon release.
Tamposi is truly a force to be reckoned with. Since January, the songwriting sensation has co-written no less than seven singles for major label, global superstars, including the wildly popular Kygo & Selena Gomez’ hit “It Ain’t Me.” The song reached #1 in five territories worldwide, was certified Platinum or multi-Platinum in eleven territories just four months after release, and has racked up over 1 billion streams globally. In addition, Tamposi is currently enjoying worldwide success as the co-writer of Camila Cabello’s chart-topping “Havana,” which hit #1 on the UK’s Official Charts just this week.
2017 also saw Tamposi co-writing hit singles Avicii’s “Lonely Together” featuring Rita Ora, Rita Ora’s “Anywhere,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Let Me Go” featuring Alesso, Florida Georgia Line & watt, and Lea Michele’s “Run To You,” plus album cuts performed by Bebe Rexha (“Comfortable”) and Betty Who (“Wannabe”).
As further confirmation of her prolific songwriting prowess, Tamposi was recently recognized by Spotify at its inaugural Secret Genius Awards, in which the streaming platform celebrated and honored the songwriters behind its most streamed songs. Tamposi took home the Top Secret Genius: Dance award at the November 1st ceremony, where she was also nominated for Top Secret Genius: Female.
Based in Los Angeles, Tamposi first rose to international acclaim co-writing Kelly Clarkson’s 4x multi-Platinum selling single “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” which went to #1 on fifteen Billboard charts upon release and earned nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. She made waves globally last year as the co-writer of DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s hit “Let Me Love You”, which topped the U.S. Pop radio charts, reached #1 in twelve territories around the world, and went to on achieve Diamond, Platinum, or multi-Platinum certifications in ten regions. Clarkson, Bieber, and DJ Snake join Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Demi Lovato, Gary Clark Jr., Nickelback, and One Direction on the extensive list of artists that Tamposi has written with and/or for since she burst onto the scene.
“We are honored to continue representing Ali,” says Reservoir SVP of Creative and A&R Donna Caseine, who has overseen the day-to-day Creative for Tamposi since she joined the Reservoir roster. “Working with Ali and her team has been awe-inspiring and a true pleasure. It’s been an incredible year and there’s so much more to come.”
Adds Tamposi, “I couldn’t be more excited to continue to grow with the Reservoir family. They have been a vital part of my career this year and I am eternally grateful to be continuing our journey together.”
