Title: Associate Marketing Manager

Join the Marketing team at Reservoir’s office in New York. This position reports to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications.

Overview:

  • Support Reservoir’s global marketing efforts across both active roster and catalog projects, in addition to enhancing corporate marketing activity for the publicly traded, award-winning independent music company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the company’s digital marketing activity through strategic social media, streaming, and web content
    • Oversee day-to-day management of all company social media accounts and campaigns, and ensure brand consistency
    • Maintain corporate website, including drafting and posting all editorial, and maintain playlists across all streaming platforms, keeping content up to date
  • Design and create bespoke assets including social media graphics, video reels, advertisements, reports, one sheets, decks, and other pitching tools for the company, its roster and catalog, or prospective clients
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for promotion across roster and catalog
  • Assist with relationship management with external clients including at social media platforms and DSPs
  • Actively participate in department and company brainstorming sessions on Marketing pitches, campaigns, and activations
  • Coordinate the planning and building of Reservoir’s email marketing outreach including newsletters and other target specific communications 

Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years of previous entertainment, media, or tech industry work and/or internship experience preferred; music publishing experience a plus
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative suite—Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PremierePro, etc.
  • Prior experience in content creation including graphics and copywriting for social media, web publishing, and/or promotional materials
  • Excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
  • A strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit—you are as productive independently as you are in a team, hold yourself accountable for your work, and adhere to high standards in what you produce
  • Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to apply ideas strategically

Title: Creative & Admin Co-Ordinator (Part Time – 30 hours / week; Temporary – Maternity Cover)

Join the UK team at Reservoir’s office in London on a temporary basis (at least 6 months).

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and in support of both the Creative & Copyright teams, both in the UK & US.
  • Assist with inputting release data and live performance information across a multitude of systems.
  • General assistance and support of copyright department.
  • Assist with sourcing and management of audio and playlists for new songs and releases.
  • General A&R admin/creative assistance including attending live gigs and confirming writer sessions.

Title: Royalties Assistant (Part-Time)

Join the Royalties Administration department with this part-time position. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, tenacious, accurate and consistent in their work always, and understand the importance of clean data as it relates to music royalties.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify source of incoming payments and retrieve sales files from corresponding sources
  • Review, enter and prepare sales files for royalty system
  • Review Artist/Producer contracts and enter royalty provisions into royalty system
  • Maintain and update bank account tracking weekly
  • Support reconciliation process weekly and monthly for timely statement delivery
  • Research agreements and request mechanical licenses on behalf of Reservoir’s labels
  • Input mechanical license data into the royalty system
  • Assist with client’s administrative needs

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of administrative experience within the music industry in a royalty capacity (including internships)
  • Bachelor’s degree (music business or related field preferred)
  • Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to handle high volume of data-input with accurate execution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Vistex’s Record Maestro (not required but preferred)
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,) with strong Excel skills highly preferred
  • Handles and safeguards highly confidential and sensitive or proprietary information
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks that involve multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work
  • Genuine interest in music and the music industry trends, and developments

Position: Music Publishing Marketing Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:

  • The Marketing internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Marketing Interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Assisting in producing content for company web properties, including:
      • drafting news stories, blog posts, and social media posts
      • creating custom graphics, video assets, and advertisements
    • Researching and brainstorming new digital marketing platforms and tactics
    • Learning how to identify visibility opportunities for branding, partnership, and more in the music publishing space; assist in researching, assessing, and pitching for these opportunities

Position: Recorded Music Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:

  • Reservoir Media Management, Inc. is seeking a recorded music intern to help support the marketing and digital operations teams.
  • Reservoir Media Management, Inc’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Recorded Music Intern Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on consumer behavior, marketing trends, digital and social media developments and specific industry/client business to enhance sales probability
    • Conducting competitor marketing and social media analysis
    • Assist with D2C website build (release descriptions/social media links/gathering content)
    • Assist with Social Media Content calendar
    • Support metadata quality assurance across recorded music catalogs within content management system
    • Conduct label copy and rights provenance research for legacy recordings as needed.
    • Support the digital ops team regarding the delivery of recorded music catalogs to DSPs
    • Ad hoc projects as needed

    • Processing incoming royalties received from affiliated parties using Vistex Music Maestro
    • Becoming familiar with royalty terminology, processes and various reporting’s
    • Assisting with organizing and maintaining physical and digital statements received
    • Processing outgoing royalties due to writers using Vistex Music Maestro
    • Assisting in monthly and quarterly royalty runs and expense reporting
    • Client maintenance within Vistex Music Maestro

Position: Copyright Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:

  • The Copyright internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Copyright interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Researching songs, composers, and publishers in PRO/CMO databases
    • Assisting in onboarding new clients to Reservoir’s Music Maestro system as well as entering new song and recording data for existing clients into Music Maestro
    • Tracking client’s live performances and setlists to submit to PROs
    • Importing registration Acknowledge files from PROs and isolate and report on any errored registrations
    • Assisting in contract analysis and counterclaim resolution processes.
    • Gaining a full knowledge of the relationship between publishers and writers and the different types of publishing deals

Intern Requirements:

Position: Creative Publishing Internship
Location: Nashville, TN
Placement Overview:

  • The Creative Publishing internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • The position will be in person at Reservoir’s Nashville office, located at 3209 West End Ave.
  • Creative interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Typing out lyrics for new song turn-ins
    • Tagging new turn-ins for sync purposes
    • Learning how to navigate our chosen software, DISCO
    • Curating pitch lists to pitch songs to their supervisors
    • Updating weekly spreadsheets for new releases
    • Research concerning new signings, acquisitions, etc.
