Title: Associate Marketing Manager

Join the Recorded Music Marketing team at Reservoir’s office in New York. This position reports to the Head of Frontline Marketing and Catalog Development, North America

Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with marketing teams, both in the US & UK, as well as artists and managers, for campaign updates and to communicate goals and plans for recorded music for Chrysalis Records & Tommy Boy Music.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years of progressive marketing experience in the music industry, ideally at a record
  • Self-starter who adapts quickly to change and can work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial
  • Excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior
  • Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to apply ideas strategically while working to a set budget and
  • Deep knowledge of consumer-facing touchpoints including managing email lists, website promotion and social media

Title: Coordinator, Digital Asset Management

Join the Digital Operations team in Reservoir’s New York or Nashville office. This position reports to the Senior Director, Business Development & Operations.

How to Apply:

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with songwriters, artists, record labels and managers to source all audio needed for distribution, creative pitching, and synch licensing companywide
  • Work closely with Creative, Synch, Publishing, and Label Digital Operations teams to add value through metadata quality and consistency across the entire organization
  • Develop and implement a companywide process for audio ingestion and metadata tagging for all new song deliveries
  • Support the onboarding process of all newly acquired music catalogs
  • Collaborate with Digital Operations to identify and correct data quality issues of legacy music catalogs
  • Manage the recovery and conversion of legacy physical audio and video media to industry-standard digital formats
  • Liaise with Synch team to ensure all special audio such as instrumentals, acapella, and clean versions are available to fulfill licensing needs
  • Prepare regular reporting to company leadership detailing new audio available in company platforms
  • Keep informed of news, trends, and new business models in the industry

Requirements:

  • General understanding of record label and music publishing functions with an emphasis on the digital supply chain
  • Working knowledge of metadata standards for audio and video assets
  • Experience with industry content management systems such as DISCO, OpenPlay, FUGA or similar platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Title: Licensing Coordinator, Synch

Join the Licensing team at Reservoir.

How to Apply:

OVERVIEW:

Handling daily administrative tasks that are vital to the department’s workflow, including issuing quotes, licenses, invoices, cue sheets, and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Synch department, handling various administrative duties, assisting with reports and projects as needed
  • Handle initial licensing inquiries
  • Provide initial copyright information
  • Set up digital license files and enter information into synch database and ensure data in database is complete and accurate
  • File digital copies of all documents pertaining to sync uses in digital files
  • Coordinate signature and return copies of fully-executed licenses
  • Assist in tracking and collecting payments
  • Maintain status and location of licenses (digital files) from license request date through fully-executed license, and periodically review and organization of digital files
  • Administering all aspects of document delivery
  • Perform any other duties and tasks related to the department’s role and responsibilities that might be assigned by the team’s management from time to time

Title: Creative & Admin Co-Ordinator (Part Time – 30 hours / week; Temporary – Maternity Cover)

Join the UK team at Reservoir’s office in London on a temporary basis (at least 6 months).

  • Work closely with and in support of both the Creative & Copyright teams, both in the UK & US.
  • Assist with inputting release data and live performance information across a multitude of systems.
  • General assistance and support of copyright department.

  • General A&R admin/creative assistance including attending live gigs and confirming writer sessions.

Placement Overview:

  • The Marketing internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Marketing Interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Assisting in producing content for company web properties, including:
      • drafting news stories, blog posts, and social media posts
      • creating custom graphics, video assets, and advertisements
    • Researching and brainstorming new digital marketing platforms and tactics

Position: Recorded Music Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:

  • Reservoir Media Management, Inc. is seeking a recorded music intern to help support the marketing and digital operations teams.
  • Reservoir Media Management, Inc’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Recorded Music Intern Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on consumer behavior, marketing trends, digital and social media developments and specific industry/client business to enhance sales probability
    • Conducting competitor marketing and social media analysis
    • Assist with D2C website build (release descriptions/social media links/gathering content)
    • Assist with Social Media Content calendar
    • Support metadata quality assurance across recorded music catalogs within content management system

Position: Royalties Internship

  • The Royalties internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Royalty interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Processing incoming royalties received from affiliated parties using Vistex Music Maestro
    • Becoming familiar with royalty terminology, processes and various reporting’s
    • Assisting with organizing and maintaining physical and digital statements received
    • Processing outgoing royalties due to writers using Vistex Music Maestro
    • Assisting in monthly and quarterly royalty runs and expense reporting
    • Client maintenance within Vistex Music Maestro

Position: Copyright Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:

  • The Copyright internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company.  Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
  • Copyright interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Researching songs, composers, and publishers in PRO/CMO databases
    • Assisting in onboarding new clients to Reservoir’s Music Maestro system as well as entering new song and recording data for existing clients into Music Maestro
    • Tracking client’s live performances and setlists to submit to PROs
    • Importing registration Acknowledge files from PROs and isolate and report on any errored registrations
    • Assisting in contract analysis and counterclaim resolution processes.
    • Gaining a full knowledge of the relationship between publishers and writers and the different types of publishing deals

  • Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
  • The position will be in person at Reservoir’s Nashville office, located at 3209 West End Ave.
  • Creative interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Typing out lyrics for new song turn-ins
    • Tagging new turn-ins for sync purposes
    • Learning how to navigate our chosen software, DISCO
    • Curating pitch lists to pitch songs to their supervisors
    • Updating weekly spreadsheets for new releases
    • Research concerning new signings, acquisitions, etc.
