Title: Royalties Coordinator
Location: Hybrid/New York
This full-time position will report to the Manager of Royalties and is based in Reservoir’s office headquarters in New York. Reservoir employees work on a hybrid in-office schedule. This is not a remote position. The primary focus of this position will be maintaining Reservoir’s database in Music Maestro, while collaborating with the wider team and departments across the company to continually assess and improve data infrastructure. It includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain incoming deposits from multiple bank accounts by date and order received
- Identify source of incoming payments and retrieve statements from corresponding portals/emails
- Set up generic imports using Microsoft Excel and assist with daily statement entry process into internal royalty system
- Enter sync payments into internal royalty system using its corresponding license terms
- Assist with income statement matching as it relates to entered statements in internal royalty system & ensure the use of proper song titles/rates when entering payments and matching
- Handle client’s administrative needs (i.e., update internal royalty system with client details (email address, mailing address, bank details))
- Generate sync income reports monthly to ensure proper reconciliation and delivery of outstanding payments
- Handle interdepartmental requests for royalty related documents/statements as needed
- Assist with tracking payments and statement delivery from various Master income sources
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of administrative experience within the music industry in a royalty capacity
- Bachelor’s degree (music business or related field preferred)
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to handle high volume of data-input with accurate execution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Vistex’s Music Maestro (not required but preferred)
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,) Tableau (preferred) with strong Excel skills required
- Handles and safeguards highly confidential and sensitive or proprietary information
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks that involve multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work
- Genuine interest in music and the music industry trends, and development
Compensation:
- An annual base salary commensurate with skills and experience of $50K-60K, plus bonus and competitive benefits will be offered to the successful hire.

Title: Coordinator, Digital Asset Management
Location: Hybrid/New York
This full-time position will report to the VP, Business Development & Operations and is based in Reservoir’s New York office. Reservoir employees work on a hybrid in-office schedule. This is not a remote position. The primary focus of this position will be digital asset management, including audio and metadata sourcing, ingestion, and maintaining data integrity across all of Reservoir’s recordings and music publishing catalogs. It includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Interface with songwriters, artists, record labels and managers to source all audio needed for distribution, creative pitching, and synch licensing companywide
- Work closely with Creative, Synch, Publishing, and Label Digital Operations teams to add value through metadata quality and consistency across the entire organization
- Oversee a companywide process for audio ingestion and metadata tagging for all new song deliveries
- Support the onboarding process of all newly acquired music catalogs
- Collaborate with Digital Operations to identify and correct data quality issues of legacy music catalogs
- Manage the recovery and conversion of legacy physical audio and video media to industry-standard digital formats
- Liaise with Synch team to ensure all special audio such as instrumentals, acapella, and clean versions are available to fulfill licensing needs
- Liaise with Synch and Marketing teams to service priority audio to radio, PR, and music supervisors securely
- Prepare regular reporting to company leadership detailing new audio available in company platforms
- Keep informed of news, trends, and new business models in the industry
Requirements:
- General understanding of record label and music publishing functions with an emphasis on the digital supply chain
- Working knowledge of metadata standards for audio and video assets
- Experience with industry content management systems such as DISCO, OpenPlay, FUGA or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Passion for music and technology
Compensation:
- An annual base salary commensurate with skills and experience in the range of $42,000 – $52,000, plus bonus and competitive benefits will be offered to the successful hire.

Title: Data Analyst – Recorded Music
Location: Hybrid/Nashville, TN
This full-time position will report to the Recorded Music Royalties Manager and is based in Reservoir’s Nashville office. Reservoir employees work on a hybrid in-office schedule. This is not a remote position. The primary focus of this position will be maintaining a high standard of data quality in Reservoir’s recorded music royalty platform, while collaborating with the wider team and departments across the company to continually assess and improve data infrastructure. It includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an efficient flow of royalty data through our various internal systems
- Optimize the data ingestion process, normalizing large volumes of data from diverse sources
- Ensure a high standard of data quality throughout the recorded music royalty platform
- Be a key contributor to large-scale royalty data migrations
- Analyze income and receipts data to improve revenue collections
- Review artist and producer contracts to onboard new royalty accounts
- Research artist contracts and industry databases to fulfill mechanical licenses
- Glean business intelligence by analyzing music data
- Research and service inquiries from artist client teams
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience dealing with large amounts of data within the music industry (including internships)
- Bachelor’s degree (music business or related field preferred)
- Ability to extract and manipulate data from high volume datafiles
- Self-starter and self-motivated comfortable working with financial data, calculations, spreadsheets
- Strong skills with Excel and Tableau highly preferred
- Experience with Vistex’s Record Maestro and/or Exactuals’ SR1 preferred but not required

Position: Recorded Music Internship
Location: Remote/Tribeca, New York, NY
Placement Overview:
- Reservoir Media Management, Inc. is seeking a recorded music intern to help support the marketing and digital operations teams.
- Reservoir Media Management, Inc’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
- Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
- Recorded Music Intern Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on consumer behavior, marketing trends, digital and social media developments and specific industry/client business to enhance sales probability

- Assist with D2C website build (release descriptions/social media links/gathering content)

- Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part-time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
- Internships can take place either fully in-person or hybrid in-person/remote.
- Copyright interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
- Researching songs, composers, and publishers in PRO/CMO databases
- Assisting in onboarding new clients to Reservoir’s Music Maestro system as well as entering new song and recording data for existing clients into Music Maestro
- Tracking client’s live performances and setlists to submit to PROs
- Importing registration Acknowledge files from PROs and isolate and report on any errored registrations
- Assisting in contract analysis and counterclaim resolution processes.
- Gaining a full knowledge of the relationship between publishers and writers and the different types of publishing deals

Location: Nashville, TN

- The Creative Publishing internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company. Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry.
- Reservoir’s internship program is a 12-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship.
- The position will be in person at Reservoir’s Nashville office, located at 3209 West End Ave.
- Creative interns will rotate through the following areas, including, but not limited to:
- Typing out lyrics for new song turn-ins
- Tagging new turn-ins for sync purposes
- Learning how to navigate our chosen software, DISCO
- Curating pitch lists to pitch songs to their supervisors
- Updating weekly spreadsheets for new releases
- Research concerning new signings, acquisitions, etc.
