Title: Synch Creative

Join the Synch Creative team in Reservoir’s Los Angeles office. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Synch & Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Pitch song/artist ideas to film and film trailers
  • Develop and manage relationships with artists and clients
  • Supervise and maintain physical and digital distribution/mailing lists
  • Secure placements of artist songs in film and trailers
  • Offer insight on their knowledge of synch market trends
  • Provide input from one’s working knowledge of available music delivery platforms
  • Create and update artist/label rosters
  • Source missing assets and/or information

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in film/trailer synch creative pitching position
  • Capable of working independently and exhibiting initiative to tackle job tasks and assignments
  • Ability to multitask responsibilities quickly and precisely according to given deadlines and work within Synch Department team structure
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A passion for music and a well-developed knowledge of the music industry required
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Team player who can work with people across creative, marketing, financial, and legal disciplines

Title:  Controller

Join the Accounting and Finance team in Reservoir’s New York City headquarters and work closely with the senior management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.  The position will also be responsible for ensuring the control environment is maintained at a high level and evolves appropriately as the Company continues to grow.  The position reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly close process to ensure that consolidated financial statements are delivered accurately and timely every month.
  • Work closely with counterparts at overseas subsidiaries and understand all accounting issues facing both the publishing and recorded music businesses.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the financial software platform and continually look for ways to leverage the system to improve reporting.
  • Create reports that summarize the financial data concisely for presentation to senior management.
  • Evaluate internal controls and ensure that robust documentation of the entire control environment is accurately maintained.
  • Manage the audit process with external auditors.
  • Compile data and manage relationship with tax advisors to ensure that all tax filings are completed well before required filing dates.
  • Work closely with CFO and GC on all regulatory reporting and compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Coordinate with all departments in the organization during the budgeting process and maintain budgets within the financial platform.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading an accounting team
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Team player who is capable of managing others while also performing required tasks directly to ensure that objectives are achieved on a timely basis
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • CPA designation
  • Experience in the music industry is preferred

Title: Label Digital Operations Manager

Join the Digital Licensing team in Reservoir’s New York office. This position reports to the Senior Director, Business Development & Operations.

How to Apply:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure label catalog is consistently set up, delivered, and accepted by all DSPs and digital partners.
  • Maximize catalog monetization at YouTube and other platforms.
  • Contribute to daily operations including manual claiming, policy change implementation, resolving ownership conflicts and disputes, and other claiming tasks.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities and work with music users to become licensing partners.
  • Evaluate catalog license proposals and support negotiations with DSPs and music users.
  • Manage deal renewals and amendments through Merlin and other licensing partners.
  • Deliver and maintain all metadata and assets in compliance with required standards across all licenses.
  • Manage the integration and data cleanup of acquired music catalogs.
  • Work closely with our licensing and distribution partners to continually improve our digital supply chain.
  • Keep informed of news, trends, and new business models in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in digital supply chain management at a label, digital distributor, or DSP.
  • Expert in YouTube music rights management with a deep understanding of the YouTube CMS.
  • Knowledge of music copyright and digital licensing structures.
  • Technological understanding of digital distribution workflows, DSP requirements, and industry standards (DDEX).
  • Existing relationships within the DSP landscape.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Passion for music and technology.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.

• Oversee and advise on all securities, compliance and corporate governance matters
