RESERVOIR CUTS CONTRIBUTE TO 26 2018 MTV VMA NOMINATIONS

MTV announced the nominations for the 2018 Video Music Awards today and Reservoir cuts contributed to 26 nominations. The Carters, AKA Beyoncé and JAY-Z, racked up eight nominations, including Video of the Year, for their trap cut “Apes**t,” featuring vocals and a co-writer credit by Migos’ Offset, off their joint album, Everything Is Love. Additionally, Migos garnered a Best Hip Hop Video nomination for their Drake collaboration “Walk It Talk It.” Childish Gambino secured seven nominations, including Video of the Year, for his powerful #1 single, “This Is America,” featuring vocals and a co-writer credit by Young Thug. Camila Cabello picked up four nominations, including Song of the Year, for her #1 single “Havana,” featuring Young Thug, and co-written by the Atlanta rapper and Reservoir’s Ali Tamposi. Additionally, Tamposi’s Avicii co-write, “Lonely Together,” featuring Rita Ora earned a Best Dance Video nod. Justin Timberlake secured two nominations for his singles “Say Something (feat. Chris Stapleton)” and “Filthy” co-written and co-produced by Reservoir’s Danja, the latter of which is also co-written by Reservoir’s James Fauntleroy. Meanwhile, Post Malone’s #1 hip-hop cut “rockstar” featuring 21 Savage, co-written by Joey Bada$$, received a nomination for Song of the Year and Demi Lovato’s braggadocios track “Sorry Not Sorry,” co-written by Reservoir’s The Orphanage, earned a nomination for Best Pop Video.
The MTV VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
