CAMILA CABELLO DROPS NEW REMIX OF “HAVANA” FEATURING DADDY YANKEE, CO-WRITTEN BY ALI TAMPOSI
Date:
After delivering a jaw-dropping performance at the 2017 EMA Awards, Camila Cabello released an all new remix of “Havana,” co-written by Reservoir’s Ali Tamposi, featuring Daddy Yankee, today. The sultry single has been the number #1 single in the UK for the past two weeks, while seated at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, this remix could be the track to make it to the top on both sides of the pond.
The new remix of the hit single features new Spanish verses, as well as a guest verse from Daddy Yankee, one of the musicians behind this year smash hit “Despacito”. Having already been Cabello’s biggest song to date as a solo artist, the guest verse from Young Thug on the original track and the theatrical telenovela music video helped bring this song to the top. Hoping to continue that success with the addition of Daddy Yankee, the now platinum song is sure to be another infectious hit.
Newly resigned songwriter, Ali Tamposi, has had amazing year. After winning a Spotify Secret Genius Award in the Dance category for her contributions to dance-pop hits including Kygo x Selena Gomez’s “It Ain’t Me” and DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” featuring Justin Bieber, Tamposi has worked on numerous new projects. Recent collaborations include the Selena Gomez and Marshmello collab “Wolves,” Rita Ora’s “Anywhere,” and Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso’s “Let Me Go” featuring Forida Georgia Line and Watt.
