Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, Beatchild, teamed up with fellow Canadian artist Merna, on new collaboration album Sandie Black, on Monday. The soulful and melodic opening track “No Turning Back” sets the stage for the feel-good mood of the album, which combines electronic beats with complex rock and reggae elements.

Earlier this year, Beatchild co-wrote two songs, “Soul Run” and “Darkness and the Dawn,” for Canadian artist Tankia Charles on her debut album, Soul Ride, which earned her a nomination for the 2017 Juno Awards in Canada.
