OZZY OSBOURNE RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘UNDER THE GRAVEYARD’ CO-WRITTEN BY ALI TAMPOSI
Date:
The legendary Ozzy Osbourne released his new single “Under the Graveyard” co-written by Ali Tamposi, today, via Epic Records. The angst-ridden track, off his upcoming album Ordinary Man, vacillates between acoustic and heavy electric guitar, perfectly complimenting its dark emotional lyrics.
Rolling Stone describes the cut as “a heartbreaking elegy for himself — ‘Death doesn’t answer when I cry for help,’ he sings over stark acoustic guitar in the first verse — and the self-pity would make it too sad to listen to if it weren’t for prayers of hope like ‘I don’t wanna be my enemy’ and ‘I ain’t livin’ this lie no more’ jutting out of the shadows like bones in a catacomb.” They further praise the single, noting, “doom and gloom is what makes an Ozzy song great, and it’s what makes this one a keeper.”
“Under the Graveyard” follows Ali Tamposi’s hit co-writes “White Mercedes” by Charli XCX, and “I Really Wish I Hated You” by Blink-182, plus “Liar” and “Shameless” by Camila Cabello.
