RESERVOIR WORLDWIDE: CHARTING & TRENDING IN THE UK
Date:
The data is in, and the UK seems to be liking Reservoir’s latest sounds. For the third week in a row, the UK’s No. 1 single is “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne, written by Ina Wroldsen. The No. 20 spot is held by Marlon Roudette, who has been on the charts for six weeks with his single “When The Beat Drops”, written by Jamie Hartman. MØ, Major Lazer, and DJ Snake’s “Lean On” has also been on the charts for six weeks and is sitting right behind Roudette at No. 24.
James Bay’s album Chaos & The Calm, which debuted at No. 1 on the charts two weeks ago, now holds the No. 2 spot in the UK for the second week in a row. Ellie Goulding’s album Halcyon has been charting for a gargantuan one hundred and thirty-one weeks on the carts and is now sitting at No. 34, propelled by its single “Explosions”. Drake’s surprise release If You’re Reading this… follows Goulding at No. 37, while Chris Brown and Tyga’s Fan of A Fan The Album holds the No. 45 spot in its seventh week on the UK charts.
With so much music charting, it is hard not to get excited about the year ahead and what great tunes it will bring to the U.S., UK, and beyond.
