Reservoir announces the addition of multi-Platinum, Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Dave Bassett to its roster of talent. As first reported by Music Business Worldwide, the deal includes compositions from Bassett’s catalog, plus worldwide rights for future works.

Bassett’s achievements in writing and producing span across a multitude of genres. The 3x ASCAP Pop Award winner has created hits with an assortment of mainstream artists, from Elle King, Gavin DeGraw, and Rachel Platten, to alternative acts such as Fitz and the Tantrums, Dagny, The Strutts, and Walk Off The Earth to rock bands including Shinedown, Daughtry, Pop Evil, and Halestorm. Furthermore, Bassett’s collaboration with Elle King, “Ex’s & Oh’s”, earned him Grammy nominations for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance, while songs with Rachel Platten (“Fight Song”) and Shinedown (“Second Chance”) have been certified 3x Platinum. Most recently, Bassett co-wrote and produced Vance Joy’s new hit single, “Lay It On Me”, which was the #1 most added at Alternative Radio upon its debut.

Additionally, Bassett’s work has been featured prominently throughout television and film, including placements in E!’s The Royals, USA’s Suits, Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars promo and Disney Pixar’s animated hit movie, Cars 3. He co-wrote the song “Set It All Free,” featuring vocals by Scarlett Johansson for Universal Pictures’ Sing and composed the only original song for Universal Pictures’ upcoming holiday blockbuster, Pitch Perfect 3.
