RESERVOIR CUTS TOP THE BILLBOARD 200
Date:
Reservoir cuts appear on the top two albums on the national, much-watched Billboard Top 200 chart this week. Debuting at #1 is Pentatonix’s self-titled studio album, which featuresthe a cappella group’s twist on Major Lazer, DJ Snake & MØ’s “Lean On”. AndPop.com proclaimed, “This is the cover we needed from Pentatonix.” Their rendition builds dramatically to epic proportions.
Coming in at #2 (in an extremely close race), was Demi Lovato’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Confident, which features the Ina Wroldsen–penned power ballad “Lionheart”. Pop Crush called the track “easily [the album’s] shining treasure” and Newsday noted that “Lovato is at her best, though, with the esteem-building ballad “Lionheart,”… showing off both her vocal and emotional range as she pays tribute to her fervent fans, the Lovatics, and the inspiration they bring her.”
