RESERVOIR CONTRIBUTIONS WIN BMI 2020 POP AWARDS, INCLUDING ‘SONG OF THE YEAR’

The BMI 2020 Pop Awards winners were announced virtually, yesterday. Reservoir’s “Without Me” notably received the top honor of ‘Song of the Year,’ while Ali Tamposi and Young Thug collaborated on titles awarded the ‘Most-Performed Songs of the Year.’ These songs have received the most performance on terrestrial radio, satellite radio, and digital streaming services over the past year. The winners include:
SONG OF THE YEAR
“Without Me” by Halsey, featuring an interpolation of Reservoir catalog cut “Cry Me A River” by Justin Timberlake
MOST-PERFORMED SONGS OF THE YEAR
“Without Me” by Halsey, featuring an interpolation of Reservoir catalog cut “Cry Me A River” by Justin Timberlake
“Easier” by 5 Seconds of Summer, co-written by Ali Tamposi
“Goodbyes” by Post Malone feat. and co-written by Young Thug
“Señorita” by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello, co-written by Ali Tamposi
Additionally, “Who Do You Love” by 5 Seconds of Summer & The Chainsmokers, co-written by The Orphanage‘s Zaire Koalo and Trevor Brown was also among BMI’s most performed titles, though the songwriters are affiliated with ASCAP.
