NEW YEARS DAY ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, ‘VICTIM TO VILLAIN’
Date:
Pop-punk outfit and Warped Tour performers New Years Day have announced the release of a new album, Victim to Villain, to be available via Century Media on June 11. Pre-release announcements are expected starting next week. A press release posted to the band’s Facebook page read:
“On June 11, NEW YEARS DAY will further their quest to unite the living, dead and undead with the release of their new album VICTIM TO VILLIAN on Century Media Records. Led by the dynamic Ash Costello, these Orange County alt-rockers will haunt your stereo and warm your heart, their tongue-in-cheek macabre and molten mischief sure to become mainstay in summer soundtracks nationwide.”
The project, which first went underway last summer, also has a personal ring to Costello, who shared that she was working to overcome struggles in her life, rather than letting them defeat her, over the course of recording. “The album follows that story, the transformation, and the satisfying vengeance that comes along with it,” Costello explains.
