LUCY ROSE RELEASES NEW SONG “MOIRAI” IN ADVANCE OF ‘SOMETHING’S CHANGING’ RELEASE
Date:
In anticipation of her upcoming album, Something’s Changing, due out July 7th via Communion Records, Reservoir singer-songwriter Lucy Rose released the instant grat track, “Moirai,” today. The song follows Lucy’s previously released singles from Something’s Changing, “Floral Dresses” feat. The Staves, “Is This Called Home,” and “No Good At All.”The emotional cut features Lucy on piano, a change from her usual guitar-based sound. The singer took to Instagram to explain the song’s meaningful lyrics like “Moirai, you let me down.” “I was thinking a lot about fate and destiny and discovered that the Greek God in control of our fates was called Moirai,” she says. “I sometimes feel like I live by ‘oh well, it wasn’t meant to be’ but what happens if it was and it’s just plain unfair that it didn’t….I wanted to write a song about that.” Lucy also recently filmed a exclusive live performance of the song for an acoustic session with Burberry.
