LOTTE MULLAN DROPS ‘CLAW MARKS’ EP
Date:
May 26 marks the official release of Claw Marks, the latest by British singer-songwriter and Reservoir artist Lotte Mullan. The short-and-sweet, four track EP is Mullan’s third official release, following 2013’s Plain Jane and 2012’s Madonna, both available for purchase on iTunes.
Claw Marks showcases an evolved sound from Mullan, who collaborated with members of the group Band of Horses to record and produce the release. The EP’s introductory track, “I Hope It Breaks Your Heart” is a lethally cool lover’s-revenge title that has garnered upwards of 45,000 Soundcloud streams in just twenty days, and recently landed the “Song of the Day” spot on the music news outlet, For Folk’s Sake. Another track from the EP, “Bad For Me”, has been picked up by BBC London.
Throughout Claw Marks, Mullan’s delicate vocals and plain-speaking songwriting soar over every instrumental arrangement, shining a spotlight both on Mullan’s artistic charm and her songwriting chops.
