British folk singer-songwriter Laura Marling has earned extensive recognition for her music. She notably received nominations for the Mercury Music Prize in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2020 for her debut album ‘Alas, I Cannot Swim,’ her second album ‘I Speak Because I Can,’ her fourth album ‘Once I Was an Eagle,” and her seventh album ‘Song for Our Daughter,’ respectively. Her sixth album Semper Femina also earned a nomination for the Grammy for Best Folk Album, which Song for Our Daughter also received. Marling’s songwriting delves into topics associated with sex and relationships, the modern concept of womanhood, and trauma.

Marling teamed up with Mike Lindsay to create LUMP, an electronic recording duo with albums ‘Lump’ (2018) and ‘Animal’ (2021) to their name.
