CONRAD SEWELL TALKS JAMIE HARTMAN COLLAB WITH GQ
Date:
Australian sensation Conrad Sewell recently sat down with GQ Australia to discuss his rise to fame and favorite songwriting collaborations in the wake of the Australian release of his debut EP, All I Know. As noted in the feature, Sewell and Reservoir writer Jamie Hartman wrote Sewell’s hit single “Start Again” together during a writing session in LA. The song has since gone 2X Platinum in Australia and recently nabbed the ARIA Award for Song Of The Year. In addition, the official music video has more than 265K views since its debut two weeks ago.
Sewell and Hartman intiially paired up to collaborate in 2013 after being introduced via Sewell’s then-manager Hayden Bell and Reverb Music‘s Annette Barrett, who have a longstanding relationship. Of the collaboration, Sewell notes, “Jamie and I have always had unbelievable music chemistry and you can’t pick that…When Jamie and I work together, for some reason we tend to get stuff that we like, you know. He’s amazing.”
