AGNEZ MO DROPS NEW ALBUM ‘X’ FEATURING DANJA AND JIM BEANZ COLLABORATIONS
Date:
Agnez Mo is ready for world domination! The Indonesian megastar released her first international album, X, today, which features writing and production collaborations with Reservoir’s Danja and Jim Beanz. Danja is credited with co-producing eight out of the ten songs on the album, alongside Jim Beanz who co-produced four tracks.
The ten-track disc is filled with urban-pop beats, sassy bangers, and funky mid-tempos that are tight from start to finish. The album’s lead single, “Long As I Get Paid,” was released with a music video last month, which has already accumulated over 14 million views on Youtube.
Vogue praised the chart-topping artist’s debut international release, stating, “[Mo is] as beloved for her outlandish fashions as she is for her sexually liberated lyrics set to edgy-yet-pop sounds created with American music industry staples like Timbaland and Danja.”
Mo tells Vogue, “I don’t want to create something different simply for the sake of being different; that’s not my purpose. My purpose is just to be myself, to create with authenticity. I grew up seeing a lot of different cultures, listening to all kinds of music…that’s what made me who I am today. Those are a part of me and that’s something that I want people to see.”
Most recently, Danja has collaborated on Gucci Mane’s newest drop, Mr Davis, co-producing the track “We Ride (feat. Monica),” along with Keyshia Cole’s “Incapable,” French Montana’s “Jungle Rules.” Danja has also received producing credit on four of DJ Khaled’s Grateful, including the album’s lead single “Shining (feat. Beyoncé and JAY-Z).”
Jim Beanz signed with Reservoir back in January and has since co-written the track “F.U.W.” off Empire star Jussie Smollett’s stand-alone music video, which has racked up over a million views since its release.
