YOUNG M.A DROPS DEBUT ALBUM ‘HERSTORY IN THE MAKING’

Brooklyn-based rapper Young M.A released her highly anticipated debut album Herstory in the Making, today.
Regarding the 21-track project, Pitchfork says “The New York rapper’s highly anticipated debut album is another big, long flex from one of the most skilled rappers to emerge in the last five years,” further proclaiming that “Young M.A isn’t just one of the best rappers in her city, she’s one of the best anywhere.” The Guardian further notes, “Herstory in the Making is the eventual product of the story that began with Ooouuu – and it won’t disappoint those hoping for similarly effortless, lyrically X-rated flexes,” elaborating that the album, “allows MA’s charisma and introspection to take the foreground, making this an incredibly personal debut that was worth the wait.”
Previous to the release, Young M.A said via Complex, “You’re gonna get the truth. You’re gonna get the cocky joints, the slick talk joints where I talk my talk, but then I’m gonna get personal. Real personal. That’s why this album is called Herstory in the Making, because it’s about all sides of me.”
Herstory in the Making features previously released singles “PettyWap 2,” “BIG,” and “Stubborn Ass.”
