SHERYL CROW INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME
Date:
This morning, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its inductees for the Rock Hall’s Class of 2023, including multi-Platinum selling and 9x Grammy-winner Sheryl Crow.
Originally from Missouri, Crow became one of the biggest, mainstream rockers of this music age. Over her prolific career, Crow has released 11 studio albums and has sold over 50 million records worldwide. Her debut solo album, Tuesday Night Music Club, hit #3 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified 7x Platinum. The album featured one of her most iconic tracks “All I Wanna Do,” which reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, also earning Crow Grammy awards for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Performance, as well as a nomination for Song of the Year. That same year, Crow took home the Grammy for Best New Artist.
Crow has continued to release hit songs since then, including a Gold-selling cover of “The First Cut Is The Deepest,” the Gold-selling track “Soak Up The Sun,” her Platinum-selling “If It Makes You Happy,” and many more. In 2023, Crow released a critically acclaimed documentary entitled Sheryl. The documentary was accompanied by a soundtrack featuring her track “Forever,” which was nominated for Best American Roots Song at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 3rd. See the full Class of 2023 inductees here.
