RESERVOIR’S VICKY MCGEHEE IS JAMEY JOHNSON’S “LIGHT”
Date:
In a world of singles and ringtones, it’s a bold move releasing a double album. Jamey Johnson has fared well in the first week as his album The Guitar Song reaches #1 on the country charts and #4 on the Billboard 200. Over 62,000 copies of a double album sold in one week is impressive in today’s market. “The Guitar Song is a landmark 25 song album chronicling the journey from darkness to light,” boasts Jamey’s website. Reservoir writer, Vicky McGehee, contributed to the lighter side of the album, the so-called “White Album,” with “Thankful For The Rain” and the title song of the album, “The Guitar Song.”
