RESERVOIR WRITERS CONTRIBUTE TO 8 BET HIP-HOP AWARDS NOMINATIONS

BET has announced nominations for its annual Hip-Hop Awards, and Reservoir is pleased to represent writers who have contributed to a total of eight nominations this year. Now in its11th year, the awards showcase and celebrate the best hip-hop performers, producers, and music video directors. This year’s ceremony will air on October 4th at 8/7c on BET. Check out Reservoir’s nominations below:
Dr. Dre’s Compton is nominated for Album of the Year. The album features the song “Darkside” co-written by Julian Nixon.
DJ Khaled’s I Changed A Lot is nominated for Album of the Year. The album features the track “I Swear I Never Tell Another Soul” co-written by Danja and “Every Time We Come Around” co-written by Scott Storch.
Chance The Rapper’s Coloring Book is nominated for Best Mixtape. The album features“No Problem” featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.
2 Chainz‘ “Watch Out” is nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video.
DJ Khaled’s “For Free” featuring Drake is nominated for Best Collab, Duo or Group, and the fan-voted People’s Champ Award. The song features a sample of Too $hort’s “Blow The Whistle”.
2 Chainz’ verse on Chance The Rapper’s “No Problem” is nominated for Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse.

Chance The Rapper and J. Cole are nominated for Lyricist of the Year.
