Reservoir was honored with the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) NY Indie Award for outstanding work as an indie publisher in 2018. AIMP was founded in 1977 to “educate and inform music publishers about the most current industry trends and practices by providing a forum for the discussion of the issues and problems confronting the music publishing industry.” Long-time Reservoir songwriter Bruce Roberts was on hand to celebrate and present the company with the award, noting “I’m so thankful to be working with them. It’s an amazing team and an amazing company. I’m blown away by everything they’ve created.” In addition, Reservoir President Rell Lafargue has been elected to the AIMP board, alongside other influential players in the industry, to assist AIMP in advocating for independent songwriters and publishers.
