Date:
Philly Groove songwriter Joe Jefferson has been added to the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame, where Philadelphians like Frankie Avalon, Dick Clark, John Coltrane, Patti Labelle, and labelmates The Delfonics have had bronze plaques laid in their honor.
Spanning Broad Street near the Academy of Music and Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the tweny-seven year-old Walk of Fame exists to document “Philadelphia’s contributions to the world of music…From early jazz, blues gospel and rock through funk, pop and hip-hop, they’re all here.”
