MIGOS NOMINATED FOR FOUR BET HIP-HOP AWARDS
Date:
BET released its nominees for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards via Billboard, today. Amongst it’s extensive list of talent, Reservoir’s Offset and Takeoff of Migos were nominated for multiple categories.
The Atlanta trio rang up four nominations, including Best Collabo and Single of the Year for multi-platinum hit “Bad and Boujee (feat. Lil Uzi Vert),” which was named the third-most-streamed song of 2017 as reported in Billboard last month. The group was also nominated for the Made-You-Look award (best hip-hop style), while Gucci Mane’s Droptopwop picked up a nomination for Best Mixtape. The mixtape includes “Met Gala (feat. Offset),” in addition to “Both Eyes Closed (featuring Reservoir’s 2 Chainz and Young Dolph).”
Named one of Billboard’s Hip-Hop Power Players of 2017, Pierre Thomas, CEO of Quality Control Music, says, “Migos and all the Quality Control artists have hooked listeners so deeply because their music is genuine…Migos are unafraid to stand up to the establishment and flaunt their success that came from the streets. Fans are devoted because the artists genuinely represent them.”
The awards ceremony will be broadcast on Oct. 10, 2017.
Offset and Takeoff have just come down from a busy summer, including the release of new music video “Too Hotty,”and new collaborations on London on Da Track’s single “No Flag (feat. Offset),” Skippa Da Flippa’s “Take it Slow (feat Offset),” and Gucci Mane’s single “I Get The Bag (feat Migos),” which dropped last month.
