‘KISMET DINER’ PLACES FIRST AT MANHATTAN SHORTS FESTIVAL
Date:
At the start of the shorts festival circuit, the Ridley Scott-produced, Lotte Mullan-scored short film, Kismet Diner, was nominated at The LA Shorts Fest and The Manhattan Shorts Festival. It’s since been announced that the feature took first place, winning a gold medal and beating out a slew of international contenders.
Director Mark Nunnelly has gushed about Mullan’s contributions to the film before, saying, “…in a quintessentially ‘kismet’ moment, singer-songwriter Lotte Mullan turned up at the casting. She performed the improv stuff we’d asked everyone to do. Then I spotted that she’d brought a guitar. We asked her to sing for us and she sang ‘Valentine[‘s Song].”’We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect song.”
