This weekend, Joni Mitchell was recognized as MusiCares’ ‘Person of the Year’ for 2022, an honor dedicated to celebrating artistic achievements in the music industry and dedication to philanthropy.

MusiCares is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources ensuring members of the music community have a place to turn in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis. This year’s benefit dinner and concert event was held at the MGM Grand’s Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas, as the kickoff event of Grammys weekend. The benefit helps raise funds for MusiCares’ vital programs and relief efforts, providing a safety net for the music community in times of need.

This year’s star-studded event featured touching tribute performances by Graham Nash, Brandi Carlile, Jon Batiste and many more, all honoring Mitchell’s contributions to the industry and philanthropic endeavors.
