JAMES ARTHUR’S EPONYMOUS DEBUT RELEASED, #1 AT ITUNES UK
Date:
2012 X Factor winner James Arthur has released his debut album, named after the singer himself, in the UK today. Released on Simon Cowell’s Syco Records, the album comes in thirteen- (standard) and nineteen- (deluxe) song sets, the latter of which appears at #1 on the iTunes UK albums chart today. At position #5, the standard version isn’t far behind.
Both versions of the release include “Impossible“, the emotional vocal first recorded by Barbadian R&B singer Shontelle and later covered by Arthur and serviced as his first single. “Impossible” was penned by Reverb writer Ina Wroldsen and her Ask Embla bandmate, Arnthor Birgisson. Wroldsen also has a credit on album track “Recovery“.
