INA WROLDSEN GOES SOLO WITH “ALIENS (HER ER JEG)”
Date:
A new chapter and a new adventure begins for Reverb writer and artist Ina Wroldsen as she announces the beginning of her career as a solo artist with the release of her very first single “Aliens (her er jeg)”.
A multiple-time BMI Award winner, Ina already has a glittering songwriter career under her belt having written for the likes of One Direction, The Wanted, Britney Spears, Shakira, Leona Lewis, James Arthur, Little Mix, and Shontelle to name but a few, with her songs regularly being released as singles. She’s written with some of the industry’s most coveted writers and producers, with names such as Rodney Jerkins, Cutfather, Steve Mac, Wayne Hector, TMS and Red Triangle being just a few of those with which she has merged her songwriting talents.
Until recently, Wroldsen was also one half of the pop duo Ask Embla along with Icelandic producer Arnthor Birgisson. The pair enjoyed a big hit in Scandinavia with the single “Father’s Eyes” in 2012 and 2013.
With Ask Embla now a thing of the past, Ina Wroldsen is poised to begin her new journey as a solo artist. Co-written and produced by one of Ina’s most successful writing partners, veteran producer Steve Mac, “Aliens (her er jeg)” sees true blue, Ina-style pop delivered with a freedom perhaps not seen in her previous works as a writer. A personal song, speaking of life experiences, apprehension, and daring to chase one’s dreams, it’s a beautiful landmark to commence what we all anticipate will be a great project.
“Aliens (her er jeg)” is out today (06/10/14) in Norway under Universal AS Norway.
