GRAMMY NOMINATIONS INCLUDE RESERVOIR HITS
Date:
Grammy Award nominations were announced this weekend. As usual, just to be nominated for the top musical honor in the U.S. is a prize unto itself.
Reservoir album cuts were not excluded from the lineup; among the high-profile nominees are the following catalog hits:
For Best Rap Song, “F**kin’ Problems”, whose straight-talking hook is provided by none other than Reservoir writer 2 Chainz. The Platinum track appears on A$AP Rocky’s LONG.LIVE.A$AP, and also features Drake and seven-time 2014 Grammy nominee Kendrick Lamar.
For Best Dance/Electronica Album, Calvin Harris’ 18 Months. The unstoppable album has been churning out hits–“Feel So Close”, “We Found Love”, “Sweet Nothing”, and “Drinking From The Bottle”–for the past year, Harris picking up an Ivor Novello Award in the process.
For Best Urban Contemporary Album, Unaplogetic, by Rihanna. The top-of-the-pops star’s seventh, Platinum release includes “Jump”, with its ultra-modern, EDM-infused ode to Ginuwine’s “Pony”.
For Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, “Remember You”, a song performed by Wiz Khalifa and R&B singer The Weeknd from his album O.N.I.F.C.
And lastly, for Best Rap Album, Nothing Was The Same, featuring the recent chart favorite “All Me” with 2 Chainz.
We’ll be wishing all of this year’s nominees good luck in the Grammy game, and team Reservoir will be out West to show our support!
