HP has a new commercial for their Envy 15 laptop that features Dr. Dre and the song “Under Pressure,” written by Reservoir writer Scott Storch.  

Dre’s new album, Detox, is being called “the most anticipated hip-hop album ever,” according to Dre’s website devoted exclusively to Detox.  The album is rumored to be Dre’s third and final studio album and be released at the end of this fall.  Scott Storch has been working with Dr. Dre and Jay-Z on the album writing and producing “Under Pressure.”  

Before the HP commercial, the track was leaked as a rough and unfinished version.  Dre released a statement saying that the track was incomplete, but when it was ready, he would share it.  Now, via the HP commercial, he’s sharing an instrumental version.  Dr. Dre and HP collaborated to create the new HP Envy 15 laptop, calling it “the first laptop built for music.”  The laptop includes Beats Audio™ in collaboration with Interscope Records to produce what HP describes as the best sound and technology system in a laptop.
