Rapper and producer DJ Khaled releases his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Major Key, today via Epic Records, and already the release has shot to #1 on iTunes. Major Key‘s first single, “For Free”, a Drake collaboration, includes a sample of Reservoir’s Too $hort title “Blow The Whistle”. Upon release last month, the single was the soundtrack for an Apple Music campaign spot featuring supermodel Naomi Campbell alongside the hip-hop mogul.
2 Chainz makes an appearance on the album’s tenth track, “Work For It”, which also features Big Sean and Gucci Mane. The News Hub notes that “Work For It” is “one of the LP’s more rounded and natural sounding efforts” on which “2 Chainz can’t help but scene-steal.”
