Spring 2026 Internships (Jan 2026 – May 2026):
Position: Music Publishing Marketing Internship
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Placement Overview
The Music Publishing Marketing internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company. Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry. Reservoir’s internship program is a maximum 16-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship. Internships can take place either fully in person or hybrid in person/remote.
Marketing Intern Rotation:
Marketing interns will rotate through several areas of the department. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in producing and posting content for company web properties to promote Reservoir and its roster and catalog, including:
- Drafting news stories, e-newsletters, and social media posts
- Creating custom graphics and video assets
- Researching and brainstorming new digital marketing platforms and tactics
- Learning how to identify and conceptualize promotional opportunities in the music publishing space; assist in researching, assessing, and pitching for these opportunities
- Assisting in press planning and surveillance
Intern Requirements:
Marketing candidates must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a music business, communications, marketing, advertising, or related program. A desire to work in the music industry, great attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take initiative are essential. Design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva required; exceptional writing skills preferred. Attractive candidates will also be highly organized with great interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive on a small team. Dependability, commitment, and professional demeanor are highly important.

Position: Digital Operations Internship
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Placement Overview
Reservoir Media Management, Inc. is seeking a digital operations intern to support the team as our catalog volume continues to increase. The intern will support efforts across distribution, catalog takeovers, and neighboring rights. The internship program is a maximum 16-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship. Internships can take place either fully in person or hybrid in person/remote.
Digital Operations Intern Rotation:
Recorded Music Marketing interns will rotate through several areas of the department. Responsibilities may include:
- Submitting lyrics for frontline and catalog releases in Musixmatch
- Assisting with setting up physical products in OpenPlay to ensure all metadata is preserved on each product
- Assisting in optimizing metadata on backlogged physical products in OpenPlay
- Assisting with setting up large volumes of Catalog Optimization videos in OpenPlay
- Assisting in the preparation of bulk ingest templates for YouTube and OpenPlay
- Assisting in the organization legacy catalog assets in Dropbox
- Supporting catalog onboarding workflows, such as adding art and audio to upcoming catalog takeovers in OpenPlay
- Assisting with internal data audits to ensure accurate data and proper delivery
- Researching metadata missing from deal schedules
Intern Requirements:
Digital Operations intern candidates should have a basic understanding of digital label operations and strong attention to detail. Spreadsheet skills (especially Excel) and comfort working with metadata and catalog assets are preferred. Candidates must be current undergraduate or graduate students in music business, marketing, or a related field, with a great attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to stay organized and thrive on a small team.
