IFPI’s Global Digital Single Chart of the Year was released today and BTS’ record-breaking hit, “Butter,” co-written by Reservoir’s Rufio Hooks, comes in at #4 on the list. The acclaimed track racked up an impressive 1.76 billion global subscription streams via the IFPI.
The 2X RIAA-Certified Platinum song spent 10 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart in 2021. Garnering 745 million Spotify streams and 680 million YouTube views, “Butter” has earned numerous nominations for different awards across the industry, including the American Music Awards’ “Favorite Pop Song,” Variety Hitmakers’ “Record of the Year,” and a Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for “Butter.” Additionally, “Butter” reached #2 on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Chart and continues to chart on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs.
