Today, Billboard unveiled the inaugural 2025 UK Power Players list, featuring industry leaders in the UK. Blue Raincoat Co-Founder/CEO & Chrysalis Records CEO Jeremy Lascelles, Reservoir Managing Director & Global Strategic Liaison Annette Barrett, and Blue Raincoat & Chrysalis Records COO Alison Wenham were all recognized on the list.

In the feature, Lascelles shared how much Blue Raincoat and Chrysalis have grown over the last several years, with Blue Raincoat Artists adding Weyes Blood, Skunk Anansie and Bartees Strange to its roster, and Chrysalis Records releasing acclaimed albums from Laura Marling and Marika Hackman, while the label’s catalog division oversaw successful campaigns for The Waterboys and Ultravox. Chrysalis also grew through acquisitions, with the label and Reservoir acquiring electronic label New State and its catalog of over 13,000 tracks by artists including Zero 7 and Paul Oakenfold earlier this year.

In addition, Lascelles shared his take on the biggest issue facing music in the U.K. today, noting, “The recorded-music market is tougher and more unpredictable than ever before. The listening habits of the music-loving consumer are changing, and while I believe there will always be a physical market, streaming has not replaced it in terms of revenues. It is harder than ever to break a new artist, but what is required is patience and long-term thinking from record companies.”
