BILLBOARD NAMES JOHN OZIER TO 2025 COUNTRY POWER PLAYERS LIST
Date:
Today, Billboard unveiled the 2025 Country Power Players list, featuring executives at the forefront of the genre, with Reservoir EVP of Creative John Ozier named to the list.
Ozier heads Reservoir’s Nashville office and has helped build the Company into a country powerhouse, solidifying deals with some of the genre’s most legendary names and fostering the growth of its up-and-coming songwriters. Outside of Reservoir, Ozier serves on the Board of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) Nashville Chapter, having previously served as the National Chair for two years and as the Nashville Chapter Head and President for eight years.
For the featured article, Ozier shared, “I am really proud of the range of talent Reservoir has signed out of the Nashville office with the support of our creatives Greg Gallo, Beth St. Jean and Sarah McDaniels. One of our remarkable achievements has been supporting our songwriters at pivotal moments of their careers where their skillful songwriting translated into commercial success,” such as Travis Heidelman for Dasha’s “Austin” and Jon Decious for Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU.”
Additionally, regarding the most pressing issue facing the genre today, Ozier commented, “We need to capitalize on the momentum we are seeing for the country music genre and continue to focus on expanding boundaries through diversity. The genre is exploding, with more songs breaking through to the mainstream than ever and with releases by a broad range of artists, from homegrown country acts to pop icons and hip-hop stars.”
