ANNETTE BARRETT RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE IMPF BOARD
Date:
Reservoir’s Managing Director/Global Strategic Liaison, Annette Barrett, has been reelected as the President of The International Music Publishers Forum (IMPF) board for 2024-2026. IMPF is a collection of more than 50 indie music publishers from all over the world that serves as a network and connection to represent the interests of the independent music publishing community. A founding member of the Forum, Barrett’s third term as president began this month.
IMPF has also elected new members to its Board at the organization’s 2024 General Assemblies in Dublin. The full list of IMPF Board members for 2024-2026 College can be found here.
In addition, earlier this week the IMPF released its 4th Global Report on Independent Music with partner Musixmatch. See the full report here. On the report, Barrett stated, “It’s a pleasure to show the continued growth of our sector and the ongoing dominance of the independent music publishing community in terms of market share. It is, however, also important to acknowledge independent music publishers as the early champions of emerging creators, and as their first professional affiliates. Wherever we operate, we are usually the strongest supporters of local talent covering a wide range of musical genres, including those at the fringes that don’t necessarily make the headlines or the big numbers. Our latest Global Market View shines a light on all these facets of our thriving community.”
