ALI TAMPOSI WINS SPOTIFY SECRET GENIUS’ SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Last night marked Spotify Secret Genius’ second annual awards ceremony, and Reservoir writer Ali Tamposi won the prestigious Songwriter of the Year Award. Tamposi, known for her smash hit co-writes including Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s “Havana” and Selena Gomez and Kygo’s “It Ain’t Me,” among others, was on hand at the ceremony to collect the top prize. Additionally, Trevor Brown of The Orphanage and James Fauntleroy were in attendance, following their nominations for Secret Genius: R&B award and Breakthrough of the Year, respectively.
Ali has had a whirlwind year, co-writing hits for the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, BTS, Rita Ora, and more, as well as earning appointments as a Spotify Secret Genius ambassador as well as to the newly created EQL advisory board, and winning a BMI London Award. Furthermore, this marks her second win at the Spotify Secret Genius Awards, winning big last year with the Secret Genius: Dance award.
