A$AP ROCKY RELEASES ‘LOVE.LIVE.A$AP’ ALBUM
Date:
A$AP Rocky, the rapper behind popular potty-mouth single “F**kin’ Problems” featuring Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and 2 Chainz, has released his debut album, titled LONG.LIVE.A$AP. The album boasts twelve tracks–sixteen on the deluxe version–of smoky beats and features by artists ranging from Gucci Mane to Florence Welch.
XXLMagazine posted a review of LONG.LIVE.A$AP this morning, praising Rocky as a “rising star” and an innovator of the “unorthodox, hybrid hip-hop” evident in his musical taste. As Pitchfork writer Jayson Greene asserted, A$AP’s “unerring instinct for balancing pop smarts and street edge” are what make the rapper a certified “hit-maker.”
Background writer Noah “40” Shebib teamed up with Drake to compose the infectious track to “F**kin’ Problems,” LONG.LIVE.A$AP’s latest single. “Problems” has been a hit since its October release, enjoying national radio airplay and activity on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs charts, earning extended top-ten placement on the latter two lists.
