2 CHAINZ TO HEADLINE ATLANTA’S MUSIC MIDTOWN
Date:
Reservoir writer 2 Chainz is set to headline Atlanta’s Music Midtown Festival, with supporting acts including Kendrick Lamar, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, and more.
Music Midtown, while not quite a national household name like Lollapalooza, has garnered its share of fanfare over the years. An Associated Press release reads: “Music Midtown, which was first held in 1994, drew as many as 300,000 people over a spring weekend as a three-day festival. For 12 straight years, three stages stretched through several blocks.” The huge scope of the event led to unreasonable expenses, and it was shut down in 2006. Since its return in 2011, it’s hosted such acts as Ludacris, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, and T.I.
Music Midtown takes place September 20th and 21st. See a full lineup and attendance information here.
