2 CHAINZ DROPS FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘PRETTY GIRLS LIKE TRAP MUSIC’

Grammy award-winning rapper 2 Chainz dropped his fourth studio album, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, on Friday morning. Released via Def Jam Recordings, the album features 16 tracks, including previous singles “4am” ft. Travis Scott and “Good Drank” ft. Quake and Gucci Mane, which he performed on The Tonight Show in February. Reservoir’s Migos, Pharrell, and Nicki Minaj are only a few of the album’s massive collaborations. Though the rapper has kept busy, releasing mixtapes Felt Like Cappin, Daniel Son; Necklace Don and Hibachi For Lunch in addition to collaborative album, ColleGrove, with Lil Wayne all last year.
Accolades for the album are rolling in. Pitchfork, proclaimed that Pretty Girls Like Trap Music “is the most fullfilling 2 Chainz album to date” and really shows his maturity as an artist, as it details difficult subjects from the death of a friend to his mother’s smoking addiction. Meanwhile, Apple Music called it “his best work yet.”
2 Chainz built up the excitement for the album’s release last week by holding a pop-up shop in New York City of new PGLTM merch and developing a Virtual Reality Trap House for fans to visit. In addition, he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! On Thursday night to perform latest single “It’s a Vibe” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songs, and Jhené Aiko. The Georgia native heads out on tour this summer to support the album, kicking off in Los Angeles on June 25th. Tickets can be purchased here.
