As announced today in Variety, the publication has named the Reservoir award-winning and chart-topping songwriter Ali Tamposi a 2019 Hitmaker, “who defined the sound of 2019.”

 

Regarding the selection, Variety noted Tamposi’s whirlwind year, “With nods as BMI’s Songwriter of the Year and a Spotify Secret Genius Award, 2019 has been the most successful year in Tamposi’s decade of professional songwriting. The South Florida native has had multiple chart-toppers, including Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s second duet, the steamy “Señorita.”

 

Additionally, Tamposi’s latest co-writes include six co-writes off Camila Cabello’s new album Romance: “Shameless,” “Liar,” “Living Proof,” “Should’ve Said It,” “Señorita,” and “Bad Kind of Butterflies,” as well as “Under the Graveyard” by Ozzy Osbourne, and Charli XCX’s “White Mercedes.”
