Unapologetic, the seventh and latest release from pop/R&B star Rihanna, has surpassed 1 million copies sold, making it only a matter of time before it is officially certified Platinum. This marks the sixth album whose sales top a million for Rihanna, who is known for cranking out hit albums at an enviable speed.

Unapologetic features “Jump”, a dubstep-infused ode to the ’90s classic and Reservoir catalog track, “Pony”, performed by Ginuwine.

UPDATE: The RIAA officially certified Unapologetic as a Platinum album on April 16, 2013.
