London based singer-songwriter Turya released her debut album Ocean, today. The LP features Turya’s breakout single “Rain,” produced by her award-winning Reservoir rostermate, Nitin Sawhney. Turya’s signature ethereal sound is found throughout the album on tracks like “Snow,” “Ocean,” and “9 Miles.” New Lease Music says the tranquil cut “Falling” “shows a more honest, darker side” to Turya, as “her distinctive vocals float bewitchingly over the emotive soundscape.” The singer utilizes hypnotic melodies on songs “La Neige” and “Firing” to create serene vibes with emotional depth.
