RESERVOIR WRITERS EARN NINE ASCAP R&B AWARDS

ASCAP held its annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards last night, and Reservoir writers contributed to nine awards. The Urban Awards honors ASCAP songwriter and publisher members for the most performed ASCAP songs of the past year on the R&B, hip-hop, rap, and gospel charts. Additionally, recent Reservoir signee A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie performed his chart-topping track “Look Back at It” during the show.
Winning R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap Songs:
- YG’s “Big Bank” featuring and co-written by 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj
- Drake’s “In My Feelings”
- Migos’ “Motorsport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B
- Migos’ “Stir Fry”
- Tyga’s “Taste” featuring and co-written by Offset
Winning R&B/Hip-Hop Songs:
- The Carters AKA Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s “Apeshit” co-written and featuring vocals by Migos’ Offset
- Gucci Mane’s “I Get The Bag” featuring and co-written by Migos
- Rich The Kid’s “Plug Walk” co-written by 2 Chainz
- Migos’ “Walk It Talk It” featuring Drake
- Post Malone’s “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage co-written by Joey Bada$$ also picked up a Winning R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap Songs Award, though Joey is affiliated with BMI.
