SHELBY DARRALL SIGNS WITH RESERVOIR
Date:
Singer/songwriter Shelby Darrall has signed with Reservoir for a worldwide publishing deal. Darrall is also represented by Meredith Jones and Evan Kantor at CAA as well as Autumn Ledgin at Good Company Entertainment for management.
“From the second we heard Shelby’s new music, we knew we had to sign her. We are happy to support Shelby as an artist on the rise and look forward to many successes together with her and the team,” says John Ozier, EVP of Creative at Reservoir.
Last month, Darrall released “Love Me When I’m Leavin’” the first song off her forthcoming debut EP, Entertainment For The Brokenhearted, expected out later this year. Dubbed as “the perfect heartbreak anthem” by People, “Love Me When I’m Leavin’” was written by Darrall along with Troy Verges (“Wanted”, “I Want Crazy”, “Day Drinking”) and Jake Mitchell (“Some Girls”, “One Beer”) and is the first in a series of autobiographical songs that will be on Darrall’s debut project, produced by Grammy-winning icon, Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, Vanessa Carlton, Lady Gaga). “Love Me When I’m Leavin’” debuted exclusively with People (1/10) ahead of its worldwide release and is available here.
A Calistoga, California native, Darrall grew up with a love of music sparked by her father, Chuck, and his band SilverCreek. Growing up, Darrall performed in the tasting rooms of wineries throughout Napa Valley and later moved to Nashville to pursue her musical dreams and finish school at Belmont University. Her combination of wit and depth lyrically as well as her unique voice quickly gained the respect of the Nashville songwriting community, where she co-wrote with esteemed industry veterans Brett James, Troy Verges, and Emily Weisband, and collaborated with artists including Jake Owen, Larry Fleet, and Josh Kerr.
