Following Ascend’s success, Miller called on an array of top talent including Tiësto, 3LAU, and Travis Barker to reimagine the tracks for a corresponding Remixes LP, and also dropped Ascend (Tour Edits), an EP of tracks reworked and inspired by his live shows.
Ascend followed 2016 debut album Ashes and 2017’s #1 iTunes Top Electronic Album Awake, the latter of which included breakout RIAA Gold-certified single “Feel Good” featuring Gryffin and Daya. Thanks to additional popularity and critical acclaim of official remixes including Halsey’s “Without Me” and Flume’s “Say It” featuring Tove Lo, Miller was named one of DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs for 2019 and a Forbes 30 under 30 Music list honoree for 2020. His “Without Me” remix also won Best Remix at the International Dance Music Awards, while Miller additionally picked up Best Male Artist (Bass) at the 2019 ceremony. He was further nominated for Best Male Artist (Bass) and Ascend earned a nod for Best Album at the 2020 IDMAs.
Now, Miller returns with “Nightlight,” his first single since signing a record deal with 12Tone. A stunning mix of emotive lyrics and a powerhouse vocal performance by Annika Wells, plus the rock-tinged electronic that Miller is known for, “Nightlight” has already racked up over 3.5 million streams on Spotify since its release on August 28, and earned hype reviews from EDM.com, EDM Sauce, and Headline Planet, among others. A love song to the people in life who are the light at the end of the tunnel in dark times, “Nightlight” landed Miller at #8 on Billboard’s Electronic/Dance Producers chart for the week ending September 12, and is the first of new music to come from Miller this year, who has been steadily writing and working in the studio since coming off tour in February.

“I’m so excited to join Reservoir for all my publishing endeavors,” said Miller. “I was very selective about who I wanted to sign with, and they’ve shown to be a perfect fit for me.”
“Nick’s songwriting and production struck me at first listen,” said Reservoir EVP, Creative Donna Caseine. “Then I heard the name attached to the music…’Illenium.’ With a name like that, he’s forging his own path and planning for the long-term, writing music that will last. Nick has incredible talent, work ethic, and a great team. It’s an honor to be a part of his present and future.”
