RESERVOIR SIGNS INDIE BAND ON AN ON
Date:
Reservoir has signed indie band ON AN ON to an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement. The deal encompasses the group’s second album, And the Wave Has Two Sides, and future works.
ON AN ON band members Nate Eiesland, Alissa Ricci, and Ryne Estwing have been making music together since 2003, when they formed the Chicago-based rock band Scattered Trees with two other musicians. In 2012, Eiesland, Ricci, and Estwing relocated to Minneapolis and folded their energy into creating ON AN ON, an entirely new outfit that injects electronic elements, unconventional song structure, and retro recording methods into standard indie rock to develop a new, self-described brand of ‘experimental pop’. By 2013, ON AN ON’s debut release, Give In, had earned the group artist-to-watch nods from Time, NPR, and MTV.
The addition of ON AN ON to the Reservoir roster was an endeavor helmed by EVP of Synchronization Licensing & Marketing Scott Cresto, whose work with the band originally started through his LA-based sync agency, Music Alternatives, during the release of Give In.
“I’ve known ON AN ON since the days of Scattered Trees, and always felt something rare and unique,” Cresto says. “It’s been rewarding to follow the band as its sound has taken shape, first as a fan, and now as a full partner.”
ON AN ON vocalist and guitarist Nate Eiesland expects signing to Reservoir to open new doors for the group moving forward.
“Reservoir is a perfect match for us,” Eiesland shares. “Scott has already shown us such skill and heart in our previous arrangement, so we are naturally excited to step up our relationship with the entire Reservoir team and achieve something great together.”
After wrapping a run of tour dates with indie pop group Saint Motel this week, ON AN ON will return to the studio to write and record before touring again in 2016.
