RESERVOIR/REVERB MUSIC, BUDDE MUSIC CO-SIGN ‘STOP THE MOMENT’ SINGER-SONGWRITER KELVIN JONES
Date:
Reservoir/Reverb Music has teamed with German sub-publishing partner Budde Music to co-sign Kelvin Jones, one of Europe’s most promising young pop-soul singer-songwriters. The collaborative venture will see Reservoir/Reverb and Budde work together on all creative and administrative aspects of Jones’ songwriting career, including the support of his current album, Stop The Moment, released globally via Sony/Epic earlier this month.
The Kelvin Jones project has been international in nature even before the joint efforts of Reservoir/Reverb and Budde—the twenty-one-year-old artist is Zimbabwean-British in heritage, works out of London, and first found commercial success in Germany. The stellar reception of Jones’ 2015 debut single “Call You Home” and subsequent performances led to recognition across Europe and label deals with Sony’s Four Music in Germany and Epic Records in the UK.
Budde Music Managing Director Benjamin Budde spearheaded the company’s relationship with Jones before tapping Reservoir/Reverb, whom he dubs the “perfect team” to partner with, to collaborate on the effort. Reservoir/Reverb Music Managing Director Annette Barrett worked closely with Budde to capitalize on the companies’ existing synergistic relationship and realize the co-sign.
Barrett says, “We are doubly excited to be working with the immensely talented Kelvin Jones and combining it with our new creative venture with the Budde Music team.”
Reservoir COO Rell Lafargue has overseen the integration of the Reservoir and Reverb Music teams since the 2012 acquisition of the latter. He notes, “Reservoir has long prioritized building a strong and effective international network that includes working closely with our sub-publishing partners and facilitating cooperation between our North America and London teams. There is nothing more rewarding than to see all of these factors in play now with the joint venture of developing Kelvin Jones.”
Jones is currently touring throughout Europe in support of Stop The Moment, with dates announced at Germany’s PopSalon Festival, the UK’s Portsmouth Summerfest, and other cities.
