RESERVOIR PRESIDENT & FOUNDER GOLNAR KHOSROWSHAHI ELECTED TO NMPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Date:
Reservoir is pleased to announce that company President and Founder, Golnar Khosrowshahi, has been elected to the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 term. The appointment was announced at Wednesday’s NMPA Annual Meeting in New York, where honorees included Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Billy Joel and Songwriter Equity Act champion Senator Bob Corker.
Golnar founded Reservoir in 2007 under the umbrella of a family office with interests in pharmaceutical royalties, real estate, and consumer electronics retail. The company began in New York City with a small, experienced team led by COO Rell Lafargue. Today, having integrated signings and acquisitions of varied scale and genre, Reservoir has grown to include over 75,000 titles through an extensive international sub-publishing network and additional offices in Toronto and London. The company’s domestic team continues to expand, with its latest additions including award-winning finance executive Steven A. Storch, former CFO at Sony/ATV and Imagem; and songwriter, recording artist, producer, and executive Spek as SVP of Creative and A&R.
“It’s an honor to join the efforts of the NMPA beyond our current membership,” Golnar remarks. “[NMPA President & CEO] David Israelite is a friend to every publisher in the industry as the champion and voice of our cause. It is humbling to serve alongside such an illustrious and accomplished Board as that of the NMPA, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to facilitate change and push our industry into its next era.”
