RESERVOIR CUTS CONTRIBUTE TO 6 GRAMMY AWARDS

The 2019 Grammy Awards were held last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and Reservoir cuts notably contributed to six wins. Childish Gambino’s hit single “This Is America”, featuring vocals and co-written by Young Thug, took home a total of four awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Sung Performance, and Best Music Video. Invasion of Privacy by Cardi B, featuring cuts “Drip” with Migos and “Thru Your Phone” co-written by Ali Tamposi, picked up Best Rap Album. The Carters earned the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album for their album Everything Is Love, featuring cuts”Apes***” featuring and co-written by Offset, “Summer” co-written by James Fauntleroy, and “713“.
Two Reservoir cuts were performed during the action-packed show. Camila Cabello and Young Thug opened the night with a fiery performance of their hit song “Havana” co-written by Ali Tamposi and Young Thug. Reservoir representation continued later in the evening with a hyped performance of Post Malone’s smash hit “Rockstar” co-written by Joey BadA$$.
