RESERVOIR WINS BIG AT THE 2019 BMI POP AWARDS; ALI TAMPOSI NAMED BMI SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR

5/15/2019

The 2019 BMI Pop Awards were held in Los Angeles last night and Reservoir writer Ali Tamposi received the evening’s top honor of Songwriter of the Year. Her hit co-writes "Havana" by Camila Cabello featuring and also co-written by Reservoir's Young Thug, "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer, "Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld x Alesso featuring Florida Georgia Line and Watt, and "Wolves" by Selena Gomez x Marshmello were four of the year’s most performed works, each earning the title of 'Award Winning Songs' at the ceremony.

Young Thug was also recognized for his contributions to “Havana,” while Jamie Hartman and Joey Bada$$ took home an ‘Award Winning Songs’ accolade for their mega-hits Backstreet Boys’ "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," and Post Malone’s "rockstar" feat. 21 Savage, respectively.

Reservoir cuts "Say Something" by Justin Timberlake featuring Chris Stapleton, co-written/co-produced by Danja, and Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry," co-written/co-produced by The Orphanage, were also among BMI’s most performed titles, though the songwriters are affiliated with ASCAP.
